Einwegpfandautomaten nahtlos angebunden
Correctly allocating millions of non-returnable bottles and cans requiring deposit per month to the "initial distributor": This is one of the many tasks trading companies have to deal with in addition to their main activity. It is a task that must be fulfilled meticulously to ensure the business recovers the 25 cents deposit per container that the end customer receives at the checkout. The problem: If even one item in the quantity report is incorrect, the receiver may reject the entire invoice. The trading company Netto Marken-Discount decided to take control of the electronic deposit reports from the stores and the settlement with the initial distributors into their own hands.
With Microsoft BizTalk Server, the trading company Netto automated control of the records and the settlement with the initial distributors. At the same time, the solution also served to control incoming deposit invoices.
The history of the discount food retailer Netto Marken-Discount began in 1928: The nucleus of the company originated in Regensburg as a food wholesaler. In 1971 the first retail store opened under the name SuDi (Superdiscount), in 1984 the first Netto discount market. By 2011, an additional 850 markets were added to the 4,000 stores operating at the time. In 2017, the annual turnover amounted to €13.1 billion. The company headquarters are in Maxhütte-Haidhof, Bavaria. Its 16 logistics centres are distributed throughout Germany.
